Bulldogs Pictures - Before Buying a Puppy

Bulldogs are not the pets for everyone. Before you consider getting a dog of this breed you should see if you meet some requirements and needs for the Bulldog.

These dogs require a lot of attention from all members of the family; so the whole family must be excited about Bulldogs.
These dogs should be kept indoors, but not in a kennel in the yard. They cannot stand extreme temperatures and fluctuations in temperature.
These dogs need a fenced yard to prevent them from roaming. Being very sociable, Bulldogs can get attracted by somebody in the street and run away.
It is not a good idea to have a swimming pool in the yard, because Bulldogs usually cannot swim. With their short muzzles, Bulldogs are susceptible to drowning.
This breed has special care needs and not everybody is ready to provide them. It is practically impossible for a child to provide all necessary care, so children are not recommended to be responsible for these pets.
If the owner has little experience with this breed, he/she should not breed the dog, because serious complications are possible.

Bulldogs Pictures - Feeding

Bulldogs should be fed with high quality food. It is very important that you do not overfeed your pet, because this breed is prone to obesity, especially in the old age. There are three types of commercial food: dry, semi-moist and canned. Dry food is the least expensive, and it is easy to store and take on travel. Canned food is more flavorful and is a good source of water. If you change the kind of food for you pet, do it gradually. First add a few spoons of the new food, increasing the amount with each meal. It is very important for Bulldogs to have fresh water always available.
